A gathering for us to experience music and connection in an immersive way in contact with nature.
The idea is that we get together for a week away from the city to enjoy a coexistence that privileges affection, creativity, cooperation and a sense of community.
Through vocal and body percussion musical practices based on improvisation games, body practices, dialogue and healthy eating the retreat establishes a field of deep listening, trust and playfulness that contributes to the development of musicality, sensitivity, self confidence and sense of belonging.
After coming to the retreat people develop a deeper understanding of the Música do Círculo practice and worldview and feel more connected to the international musical community that has been growing since the first edition of this gathering in 2015. Since then we have received hundreds of people from more than 15 different countries, including experienced artists, restless educators, people who don't have music as a profession, and masters like Fernando Barba, Stênio Mendes, Keith Terry and Christiane Karam.

The retreat is led by the Founders of Música do Círculo and responsible for the methodology.

ZUZA GONÇALVES
Fundador e diretor do Instituto Música do Círculo.
Músico e artista-educador dedicado especialmente à música vocal, tem explorado caminhos alternativos no fazer musical coletivo há quase 20 anos, sendo parte do corpo docente do Workshop de Circlesongs do Bobby McFerrin no Instituto Omega em Nova York.

RONALDO CIRSPIM
Fundador e diretor do Instituto Música do Cïrculo.
Artista-educador e cancionista, dedica-se profissionalmente à percussão corporal desde 2007. Fez parte do grupos de estudos de Fernando Barba, dos Barbatuques e por 7 anos foi co-responsável pelo grupo Fritos de música corporal. É formado em Pedagogia da Cooperação e no programa Gaia Education de cultura regenerativa.

Artista-educador de formação híbrida (música e dança), integrou o grupo STOMP por 2 anos, compõe o time de professores do International Body Music Festival e se dedica cada vez mais a processos de aprendizado e desenvolvimento humano.

PATI PASSONI
Musicista, atriz, educadora, brincante e produtora cultural, com 24 anos de experiências diversas no caminho das artes, da cultura e da educação. Fez parte do grupo de estudos de Fernando Barba onde conheceu Ronaldo, Zuza e Pedro. Cria espaços alternativos de educação e produz, dentre outros projetos, os Retiros e Imersões da Música do Círculo, a TaKeTiNa na América Latina e as Imersões e Retiros da Badi Assad. A Fantástica Fábrica de Sons Produções Culturais é a sua empresa.

We've been in many different retreat spaces but always valuing the proximity with nature. Hundreds of people from dozen countries and 5 continents have participated, generating an amazing cultural exchange not only during the retreat experience but also beyond it.
