Retreat Música do Círculo Brazil
Quality time to experience music through a path of connection and transformation.
A gathering for us to experience music and connection in an immersive way in contact with nature.
The idea is that we get together for a week away from the city to enjoy a coexistence that privileges affection, creativity, cooperation and a sense of community.
Through vocal and body percussion musical practices based on improvisation games, body practices, dialogue and healthy eating the retreat establishes a field of deep listening, trust and playfulness that contributes to the development of musicality, sensitivity, self confidence and sense of belonging.
After coming to the retreat people develop a deeper understanding of the Música do Círculo practice and worldview and feel more connected to the international musical community that has been growing since the first edition of this gathering in 2015. Since then we have received hundreds of people from more than 15 different countries, including experienced artists, restless educators, people who don't have music as a profession, and masters like Fernando Barba, Stênio Mendes, Keith Terry and Christiane Karam.

The retreat team values well-being and quality of relations, promoting activities that are both light and profound, fun and consistent, challenging and inclusive, regardless of the participant's musical experience.
There are activities throughout the day, but each person takes care of their own experience by choosing what to do according to their interests and needs.
Team
The retreat is led by the founders of the Música do Círculo Institute and developers of the Música do Círculo approach, whose practice has spreading in the world with activities that have already reached more than 20 countries.

ZUZA GONÇALVES
Founder and director of the Música do Círculo Institute.
A musician and artist-educator dedicated especially to vocal music, he has been exploring alternative paths in collective music-making for almost 20 years, and is part of the faculty of Bobby McFerrin's Circlesongs Workshop at the Omega Institute in New York.

RONALDO CIRSPIM
Founder and director of the Música do Círculo Institute.
Musician and educator, he was part of Fernando Barba's study group, from Barbatuques, and for 7 years was co-responsible for the Fritos body percussion group in São Paulo. He holds degrees in Pedagogy of Cooperation, the Guerreiros Sem Armas program, and Gaia Education, a regenerative culture program.

PEDRO CONSORTE
Founder and director of the Música do Círculo Institute.
An artist-educator with a hybrid background (music and dance), he was a member of the STOMP group for 2 years, is part of the teaching staff of the International Body Music Festival, and is increasingly dedicated to learning processes and human development.
Producer
PATI PASSONI
Musician, actress, educator, performer, and cultural producer with 24 years of diverse experience in the arts, culture, and education. She was part of Fernando Barba's study group where she met Ronaldo, Zuza, and Pedro. She creates alternative educational spaces and produces, among other projects, the Música do Círculo Retreat, the immersion TaKeTiNa in Latin America, and the Badi Assad immersions and Retreats. Fantástica Fábrica de Sons Produções Culturais is her company.
Previous editions
We've been in many different retreat spaces but always valuing the proximity with nature. Hundreds of people from dozen countries and 5 continents have participated, generating an amazing cultural exchange not only during the retreat experience but also beyond it.
Piracanga, Bahia
July 4 to 11 - 2026
Piracanga is a special place in Bahia, where we are immersed in nature, just steps from the river and the sea, surrounded by native vegetation.
A fascinating experience for those who love both music and nature and don't mind living alongside small wild animals, in a rustic environment that offers comfort and many charms: watch the sunrise over the sea, observe the stars, listen to the sound of the ocean, take river baths, and walk barefoot.
Our host is Unah Piracanga, a lodging that will be hosting the Música do Círculo retreat for the 5th time and has a very beautiful environmental preservation program.
Getting to Piracanga is an adventure in itself, as access depends on vehicles prepared to handle uneven terrain, but safely handled by experienced teams. And the view is special!
From Ilhéus airport, Unah provides ground transportation to the location, and we recommend that you book this service with them.

Approximately 2 hours from Ilhéus, in Bahia.
Space Unah Piracanga
A comfortable and rustic accommodation immersed in the lush nature of Bahia, offering shared or private rooms. It provides delicious vegan meals three times a day (breakfast, lunch, and dinner — and you may optionally enjoy an afternoon snack by purchasing items directly from the local bar).

Arrival: Saturday, July 4, 2026, throughout the day.
Activities: From Saturday evening (07/04) to Friday afternoon (07/10).
Departure: Saturday, July 11, after breakfast or lunch.

ACCOMMODATION
Accommodation fees are paid directly to Unah. Daily rates range from approximately US$ 50 to US$ 95 and include:
