The Pedagogy of Cooperation is a collaborative approach designed to create cooperative environments in organizations and social relationships. "Música do Círculo" is one of many methodologies adopted in this process that has cultivated the Culture of Collaboration and the Sense of Community around the world.

Rodolpho Martins – Dodô is a restless pedagogue, a daring musician, a specialist in Cooperative Games, an organizational consultant and a social entrepreneur. He is also an international speaker, participating in TED and performing in several countries on the American, African and European continents. Creator of the Musicooperação, 8UP and Language Salad Programs, co-author of the books “A Pedagogia da Cooperação” and “Circulando Cooperação”, currently teaches at UNIP University on the postgraduate course in Pedagogy of Cooperation and Collaborative Methodologies.

Understanding that vocal and body music are manifestation that intertwine, this workshop will unite the universe of body music and choral singing in a strategic and playful way, expanding creative options through the varied possibilities of connecting these complementary processes.​​

Nayana Torres has a master's degree in musical education/body music from UNIRIO, conductor of the groups Coro de Corpo, Pedra da Urca, Coral da Tarde and director of the vocal group Subversos, a group from Rio dedicated to researching body percussion, performance and voice. Among international awards and festivals, such as conductor, singer, teacher, vocal coach and musical director, the following stand out: “Brasil Vocal” (CCBB), “A Cappella” (Rede Globo), “Prêmio da Música Brasileira 2018”,  Polyfollia, (Saint-Lô/France), 9th Symposium on Choral Music (Patagonia/Argentina) and Asunción a Voces, (Paraguay).​​​

In this workshop we will learn three short arrangements for songs from Puerto Rico and Cuba: Ven Baila Conmigo! (Suzzette's movement song), Campo ( Bomba Rhythm from Puerto Rico) and Yemaya (Cuban Yoruba Traditional song). We'll also explore different vocal warm ups, some energetic and some calming.​​​​

Suzzette Ortiz is an accomplished pianist, composer, arranger, choral conductor, recording artist and music educator. Her high school choirs achieved first and second place awards in Italy, Prague, Puerto Rico, Ghana, Poland, Virginia, Nashville, Tennessee, New York City, New Orleans and Orlando, Florida.  She is the former Artistic Director at Artistas y Musicos Latino Americanos (AMLA) music school in Philadelphia, holds a Bachelor degree in piano performance with a minor in composition from the Conservatory of Puerto Rico, and a Master Degree in music education from Temple University in Philadelphia. She has arranged and composed choral music for Hal Leonard, J.W. Pepper, La Voz Publishing company, GIA, Oregon Catholic Press and World Library publications. ​​

The TaKeTiNa rhythmic process encourages a more receptive attitude towards the rhythm, trusting a natural knowledge through the body of the pulse, the subdivisions and the cycles. The game consists of letting oneself be carried, move and be sung by the pulses gathered in pattern, welcoming the ‘missteps’ as opportunities.​​​​

​Baptiste Vaes is a musician, performer, teacher of rhythm and polyphony, Baptiste Vaes has been directing choirs for around thirty years, dedicated to traditional songs and vocal improvisation. Aware of the fundamental role of rhythm in music and curious to approach its aspects linked to personal development, Baptiste trained in the TaKeTiNa rhythmic process with the founder Reinhard Flatischler and has been facilitating this practice since March 2013. He completed the certification as a Senior TaKeTiNa Teacher in November 2024. ​​​​​​

Singing has accompanied the rhythm of work since the oldest civilizations, in this workshop we will experience the songs of rural workers from different communities in the interior of Brazil, driving, organizing, giving rhythm, and connecting with the vibration of sound as a sacred element.​

Renata Mattar is a singer, instrumentalist and researcher of Cantos de Trabalho in Brazil. She has been disseminating her research through workshops and performing musical shows with the presence of rural workers themselves. Musical director of Cia Cabelo de Maria, worked with Itamar Assumpção, Antônio Nóbrega, Ariano Suassuna, Grupo Palavra Cantada, the group Comadre Florzinha and others.​​​​

Come explore your voice and body via the Vocal River, a rich curriculum of vocal improvisation skill and intuition-building work developed by the master singer and teacher Rhiannon, longtime collaborator of Bobby McFerrin.

Cara is a singer, performer and vocal coach from New York. She has apprenticed with Rhiannon for 15 years and now teaches her Vocal River curriculum, which focuses on building vocal improvisation skills for both individual and ensemble work.  She is a certified voice teacher from the Complete Vocal Institute in Copenhagen and is a recurring performer in the Murmuration Project facilitated by Rhiannon and Margie Gillis. ​
